Spider-Noir Promo Unveils a Dark, Alternating Universe of Spider-Man Villains
A new promotional video for Amazon Prime Video's highly anticipated series, Spider-Noir, has been released, offering fans a glimpse into the dark and twisted world of Spider-Man's villains. The series, set to premiere later this year, promises a fresh and unique take on the beloved superhero's lore, with a stellar cast and an intriguing premise.
The video showcases four of the main villains that the titular hero, played by Nicolas Cage, will face. These include Electro (voiced by Joe Massingill), Sandman (Jack Huston), Silvermane (Brendan Gleeson), and an enigmatic figure, Hammerhead, portrayed by Abraham Popoola. The posters, released ahead of CCXP in Mexico City, Mexico, in April 2026, are part of an intensified marketing campaign for the Prime Video series.
Spider-Noir will make its US debut on MGM+ on May 25, 2026, followed by a global release on Prime Video on May 27, 2026. Set in an alternate universe within Sony's Spider-Man Universe, the series will consist of eight episodes, offering viewers the option to stream them in black-and-white or color. This unique presentation adds to the show's allure, providing a different perspective on the familiar Spider-Man universe.
The series marks Nicolas Cage's first starring role in a TV show, and he takes on the challenging task of portraying the aging investigator Ben Reilly, who secretly operates as the superhero The Spider.
