Market research firm IDC predicts that by 2026, 45% of Indian organizations will utilize specialized cloud services to gain computing access, easing the bottleneck for AI training and inference. India's broad AI accelerator stack, spanning NVIDIA, AMD, and hyperscaler silicon, provides a level of flexibility not seen in most markets. Combined with its vast engineering and AI talent pool, India has the potential to shake off its AI laggard reputation.

Mohammad Hassan, head of APAC dividend forecasting at S&P Global Market Intelligence, believes that India's funding reflects confidence in its ability to develop valuable intellectual property in indigenous and multilingual AI. During the global AI summit, Indian Prime Minister Modi set an ambitious vision for India to be among the top three AI superpowers globally, not just as a consumer but as a creator. India's IT services export prowess and software talent provide a solid foundation for this goal.
